The 3M PELTOR ComTac VI NIB Headset solves both problems simultaneously — omnidirectional microphones and high-fidelity speakers replicate sound clearly and accurately, while the level-dependent digital audio circuit compresses harmful noise to a safe decibel level and amplifies weak sounds to an audible level. The result: you hear your team clearly, and your hearing stays protected.
Environmental Listening with "Talk Through" Technology
The ComTac VI's environmental listening feature detects and locates sound in real time. The "talk through" mode allows safe ambient audio to pass through while automatically blocking harmful noise peaks. An external mic captures outside sound and transmits it directly into the headset speaker — keeping you aware of your surroundings without removing your hearing protection.
Mission Audio Profiles (MAP) — Five Optimized Listening Modes
