Observation: This is for maximum auditory awareness and sound detection in a quiet environment when the user is still.
Patrolling: For high situational awareness when walking in a low-noise environment. High volume with reduced high frequencies to limit sounds such as footsteps on gravel, grass moving under feet, or equipment moving on the body.
Conversation: Intended to closely approximate open-ear listening and sound localization. Ideal setting for extended use when other modes are not needed.
Comfort: For comfort in a noisy environment. Intended for use in periods of loud noise produced by tactical vehicles or air transport, where environmental listening is not prioritized over communications.

First things first,First Source Wireless is AMAZING. The customer service is as good as you can get. 3M tech support also incredible. No waiting, call talk to person, no switching, they listen and fix! The Headset works Great !!!
First Source Wireless, are Amazing! They went way above and beyond. Customer service is Excellent. 3M cheaped out and didnt include their proprietary charge cord. First Source found a cord and got it to me fast.
My $1200 headset was useless without it. 3M =Fail, First Source= WIN

Absolutely incredible helmet!! A friend of mine got one a few years back. I was in the market for a new one and tried his on. Customizable comfort, lightest I’ve ever felt and every extra pad and tool to modify and tighten. Wilcox mount to go with my other Wilcox mounting gear. Arc style rails are lower profile and a proper fit for ear pro. Never buying a different helmet unless Galvion makes a caiman version 2
