The difference between digital and analog modulation is the way they conduct data. A single band is less expensive than a multi-band but has a shorter range and signal strength. A multi-band allows you to use both VHF and UHF frequencies, but not together. A single band will work fine in most situations but if you are looking for versatility multiband is your best choice.
