When you turn the headset on after not being in use does it have an alert tone saying “low battery”?

My Worktunes headset works just fine but it drains the batteries when not in use. I put a new pair of batteries in, use the headset at a college football game for 3-4 hours with no problem, but then if I leave the batteries in the next time I go to use it they’re dead. Even if I put a new pair of batteries in and leave it unused overnight they’re dead. So what is draining the batteries and how do I stop it?

i have 2 very old but new peltor type hrx52a units. one i use now works fine, the other i used once put it on the shelf and forgot to shut it off. replaced batteries and nothing on either am/fm or on/off/volume. called 3m but no one was familiar with this old unit or how it works. any help is greatly appreciated, thank you, bob

Headset notified battery low and shut down. Put in new AA batteries, same issue. Tried this with 3 separate sets of batteries from three different packages. The first 2x thought it was the new batteries past their prime, but after buying the third package and getting the same result after 3 minutes of actual play time, the problem is the headset. Any ideas of how to fix this?

My worktunes are saying battery is empty put I put in brand new batteries

All functions on my Work tunes have worked great! At some point, I had to replace the batteries. I don’t know if it started then, but now it won’t receive one of my favorite AM stations. It receives station either above or below it. It seems to skip over the station that I always listened to. It is a local station so reception shouldn’t be an issue. Is there a reset or someway I can add the station I am trying to receive?

My work tune headphones are about a year old and worked fine with my iphone. Recently the volume has been dropping even though on max on the iphone.Now, after recharging the headphone battery it still connects via bluetooth but there is no sound. I have tried the reset procedure but it does not complete.

I am trying to connect my 3m worktunes headphones to a computer without bluetooth. I have tried one usb bluetooth adaptor but would not pair. Is there a usb adaptor brand that will work?

I am wondering, is it possible to connect 2 3M worktunes headphones via bluetooth to an iphone? Or would I have to buy a connection that would allow 2 headsets to listen?

My headset won’t connect with my new phone?

I have two worktune headsets. The are about two years old. The tuner is not on the station. Example radio station is suppose to be 1110 but when tuning to station it adjust from 1107 to 1116 and bypasses the actual frequency of 1110.

Ellen, It could be as simple as resetting the Bluetooth. Have you tried “forgetting” or unpairing the device in your Bluetooth list on your phone? And then following the steps in How Do I Make My 3M Worktunes Discoverable and Connect to My iPhone section to reconnect the Bluetooth? I hope this helps.

When I purchased my 3M work tunes they connected to my Bluetooth with no problem. For some reason I can no longer get them to connect and I don’t know why. Please help

Brad, Unfortunately, I do not think 3M offers any sort of replacement for the cover.

I have lost the cover for my battery compartment. Is there any way for me to get a replacement?

I am not sure what “small hole button” you have on your headset is used for. 3M showed a different way of resetting the headset than that button. Second, I believe you can pair the headset to multiple devices. The device will automatically connect to your headset the next time you power on. Just be sure it is in Bluetooth pairing mode and turned on.

Hey couple questions, #1 what’s the small hole button used for ? I thought to reset but this article says differently.. maybe I have a different model or something??

Just purchased 3m Worktunes connect + AM/FM hearing protection earmuffs. How can I set the am frequency to be the default. By this I mean, the AM station will be the first thing I hear when I turn it on.
I want to turn on to the same station I was on when I turned it off. Need your help.

I have a 3M 90543-4DC Hearing Protector – Black and the blue light does not show when I am charging the unit. I have had the device for about a year now. It does charge to “medium” and not high. What should I do?

My head set is a month out of warranty and now the music is very quiet and only playing from one side. Is there anything I can do to fix it?

Is the headset still powering on you’re just not hearing any sound coming from the headset after you reset it like when the voice assistant saying its commands? Have you tried to charge the headset with the USB charger/port? Those would be my first recommendation to trying to fix this headset. Sorry you are experiencing this! If its still under warranty, maybe give 3M a call to see if they have any further troubleshooting steps.

Fearing that I may have wrecked my 3M WorkTunes by replacing batteries without having power turned off, I’ve purchased a second unit. Fresh batteries are installed (with power off), but cannot get any sound of any kind. What’s going on? Tried to reset using your instructions from above & still nothing.

I’ve owned older models of these and they always worked great. This current model, not so much.

Jeffery, the volume on the worktunes headset is controlled by your device (phone) like you had mentioned. Since this is technically a hearing protection headset, 3M mentioned to prevent harmful noise levels, the hearing protector audio level is limited to 82 dB(A) when connected to a Personal Music Player (PMP). If the hearing protector is connected to a PMP or other device with a very high output level, it is the user’s responsibility to set the audio input level to a safe level. The maximum permitted audio input level for 8 hours of usage time, compressed speech and music is 2.12 V.

I was wondering if there was volume control on this headset. Right now I can barely hear it although phone volume is high. ?

After charging my headphones the blue light stays lit all the time likes it’s fully charged, but when I push and hold the power button to turn on nothing happens. Tried 10 sec. to reset and still nothing.

I’ve got the same issue as Philip Wilson. Suddenly doesn’t charge anymore. Warranty has expired. Before was working perfectly. Idk what to do.

Philip Wilson, If your headset is still under warranty, try contacting where you purchased the headset from or 3M to see about steps on getting the headset replaced. If it is not in warranty, I would see if their technical department could help you with any solution they might have. You can also check to see any obstruction in the charging port or battery port. Hope you get this resolved soon.

My headphones don’t seem to charge anymore. I’ve tried multiple cables and charge blocks and verified they work with other products but I can’t get the battery to charge. In looking at reviews it looks like this is a common problem. Is there any fix for this?

Richard, I would try to remove/unadd the Bluetooth connection from your phone, put the headset in pairing mode again, and see if you are able to connect that way. If that does not work, maybe reset your headset. I’m not sure this will 100% work and it’s not guaranteed but it may be worth a try. Best of luck.

My work tune head phones worked great till now. The blue tooth won’t come on and my ph can’t pick it up. Is it something I have done? What can I do to use them again?
